NEW Pioneer 4 Channel Controller: Opus-Quad!

NEW Pioneer 4 Channel Controller: Opus-Quad!

Introducing the Opus-Quad! Pioneer's Newest Controller!

The Opus-Quad is a Four-Channel Controller that combines the best aspects of their other controllers into one unit! You have a new updated look that makes it look and feel less busy for DJ's performing on it while still coming packed in with loads of features! It also features high quality screens in the center and above each platter that'll display the track information just like the CDJ-3000's and the XDJ-RX3. This controller will also be standalone and compatible with both Serato and Rekordbox which is HUGE for the DJ community. This standalone also allows 4-decks to be controlled all together which is something that was missing in other controllers. Having something with this kind of look and featuring capabilities of both of Pioneer's Flagship controllers will definitely change the game!  Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity is the name of the game with this new controller. You can link your phone directly to the controller in case there were any last minute requests you needed to play. Also the controller is able to work with Rekordbox's CloudDirectPlay to get the most use out of it!

The simplified layout carries over to the front and back of the controller. The front of it contains the second microphone input (with controls) and both a 1/4" & 1/8" headphone input (which is now pretty standard). Also in case you were looking at the color scheme of the controller, it does feature a pseudo wood finish on it. This helps it really distinguish it from the rest of lineup.

The back of the controller has everything nice and spaced out so there is no worry on losing where you have everything plugged into. This seems to be a new trend with the newest Pioneer products to make everything a bit more spaced out and more welcoming. The Opus-Quad features the standard XLR Master Out along with RCA Masters. There is 1/4" booth outputs and 2 Line Inputs to plug in something like turntables or CDJ's to create that four deck setup. Another big inclusion for this controller is Zone Control which will definitely be huge as club setup. This allows independent control for a different audio zone so the club area can have the audio settings set up one way and the other zone set up completely different.

The mixer portion on the Opus-Quad features the tried and true Pioneer FX that everyone has loved for years. Except this time, the effects are laid out a bit differently. You're able to utilize an XY Pad located on the mixer screen to completely customize each effect to be completely different. With the popular Smooth Echo feature, you can easily trigger an echo sound bymoving a fader or knob you’ve pre-assigned to apply the effect when it’s turned on. Each channelalsohasSoundColorFX,giving you even more possibilities when creating different sounds to wow your audience. The main mixer screen is 10.1 inches that gives you full details of the track and your library. The controller features a better navigation system to make browsing around all the tracks much easier than other interations of the all-in-one controllers.

The Opus-Quad is going to be a huge addition to the Pioneer Controller Lineup. The way everything is laid out all around the controller definitely eliminates that overwhelming feeling that people get when looking at a new piece of gear for the first time. The spacing on all the knobs and faders will help get rid of any accidents that may happen in a dark club or venue.
